I was also on the show, must have been around 84 or even 85. I have the VHS copy of the episode I was on, but I E-mailed channel 3 once when I thought I had lost it, and they do not have old footage is what I was told.

I read somewhere (Michael Moore) on the internet that when Bill Clinton got himself in trouble, they went for Spiritual Counselling and guess who the Pastor was.???...yes that's what it said "Rev. Jeremiah Wright"

Obama never said a word about that. Why ?because he had the decency to leave that matter private....as it was a painful time for both of them.

So the Clintons knew from personal experience that Rev. Jeremiah Wright was a good man. He helped them when they were in need...

Whenever I read an article that uses Obama's middle name, I discount nearly everything the author has to say. One never reads about "Hillary Diane Clinton." This is because she never uses her middle name publicly. ("Hillary Rodham Clinton" is different because she has used that name publicly.) The article uses the full name "Barack Hussein Obama" THIRTY-FIVE TIMES! I have never heard Obama use his middle name. Perhaps I am being cynical but it seems the only reason one would have to use someone's middle name that often and that prominently when the person being spoken of NEVER uses it is to get a point across. While his middle name is really "Hussein", he is neither Muslim nor a terrorist. I have no doubt that whomever wrote that article would insist he is simply using Obama's real, legal, full name. Sometimes the "truth" is a lie.

It's striking seeing someone look back fondly on the Willie Horton ad, which in the circles I run in is widely considered a masterpiece of race-baiting and a low point in the history of American politics.

I have a 1998 C70, very good car - very similar to it's wagon cousin the v70. I have had it for a good while and currently have 160K miles on mine. A few things you will inevitably run into.. The ABS module will go bad eventually. It's an $900 fix at the dealer, but there are several people online that will rebuild them for around 150 (you send them the module, they fedex it back - google it when your trac light comes on). I keep synthetic oil in mine but that's a matter of preference I guess. The window motors may go bad, this may be just a C70 thing though. Be sure to replace the timing belt when it is due. swedespeed.com is a good resource for your car. Keep up with the maintenance and you'll enjoy the car!

Er... The blog's called "Jim's Brain Online." My name is Jim Zoetewey. Though I really liked the Commodore 64 a lot myself, I'm not Jim Brain.

Sorry for the confusion.

Hey Jim,
I am another member of the Channel 3 Clubhouse Alumni. My television debut was part of my seventh birthday gift from my folks. This would have been during the Fran Harding years - back when cartoons were drawn instead of programed (!). I remember getting red licorice and Necco wafers. I tuned in religiously. There should be a reunion or a website or something.

Thanks for the ride down Memory Lane.
