I’m downstairs with my kids. As there’s a thunderstorm going on, I’ve turned off the computers and we are discussing what to do next.

Daughter: Read the fish book!

I look around and try to figure out what book she could possibly be talking about. Finally I find it. There’s a book on my bookshelf above my computer that has a fish on it.

Me: Are you sure? There’s no pictures.
Daughter: Yes!

I got down the “fish book.” It’s more commonly known as “Calvin’s Institutes of the Christian Religion.”

To their credit, my daughters (ages 4 and 5) made it to page 2 before realizing that they were bored out of their minds.
